Well, hamsters are mammals which belong to the rodent family having large incisor teeth that are continually growing necessitating gnawing to prevent the teeth from overgrowing, mammals which have cheek pouches and solitary burrowing rodents. The word ‘rodent’ is derived from the latin word ‘rodere’ which means ‘to gnaw’. There are many types of hamsters such as the Roborovski Hamster,the Syrian Hamster, the Chinese Hamster, the Dwarf Campbells Russian Hamster, the Dwarf Winter White Hamster, the European Hamster, the Rumanian Hamster and many more.
